As we took the "Long winding road that leads to [y]our door", we journeyed on an intense gravel road, with the
VanBott (slaughtered rendition of the Hungarian word for 'Beast"). It held eight prisoners in its seven seats. The road was long and bumpy and the pleads to pullover for a photo-sesh became increasingly more frequent. The road traversed the Banks Peninsula, weaving in and out of bays and up and down the valleys that incased them. We became a tad frantic and wished to get out, but we would not have traded this extreme adventure for anything. The trip from Christchurch to Akaroa is a mere 73 kilometers, but it took atleast 3 hours to complete. Leaving Akaroa we spent 7hours in the back of VanBot, but aside from straining bladders, we reslished the occasion. These are the pictures that accompany our story.
